When a passenger needs a ride, they drop a Signal on the map. Nearby Partner drivers can see it and choose to respond. You can see other drivers heading to the same signal in real time.
The first driver to arrive picks up the passenger and enters a verification code. The entire fare is yours — CaminoCabs takes nothing. Plus, you earn CaminoPoints on top.

CaminoCabs Dublin
Everything you need to know before registering as a CaminoCabs driver in Dublin.
You need a valid SPSV licence from the NTA, Irish or EU driving licence, Garda paper licence, valid vehicle insurance for SPSV use, and a smartphone. All documents are uploaded and verified through the app.
Partner drivers display CaminoCabs branding (stickers) on their vehicle and get a lower commission rate (5% vs 10%) plus exclusive access to the Signal System with 0% commission pickups. Both Partner and Standard drivers have access to Prebook requests, CaminoPoints, and all core platform features. The branding materials are provided free of charge. Instead of paying per-trip commission, you pay a flat monthly fee (€140/mo for Partners, €200/mo for Standard) and keep 100% of every fare for that month. You can switch between commission and subscription mode anytime.
No. Signing up is completely free. There are no registration fees, no joining fees, and no hidden costs. You only pay the intermediation fee when you complete trips.
Standard drivers can use any platform simultaneously. Partner drivers can use CaminoCabs alongside Irish-owned businesses, but cannot display branding from multinational ride-hailing competitors while carrying CaminoCabs branding.
We aim to review and approve documents within 24 hours. Once approved, you can start accepting rides immediately.
The Signal System is like hailing a taxi on the street — but better. A passenger drops a signal on the map, and nearby Partner drivers can see it and head towards the pickup. You can see on the map if other drivers are also responding. The first driver to arrive enters a verification code from the passenger and completes the pickup. Signal trips have 0% commission — you keep the entire fare — plus you earn CaminoPoints on top.
Taxi Rank Mode activates automatically when you're near a Dublin taxi rank. It lets passengers in the CaminoCabs app see how many drivers are available at each rank — helping them decide whether to walk to the rank or book through the app. It's completely free for all drivers, with no commission or fees.
