Dublin Tram Timetable FAQ

How often do Dublin trams run?

Trams run every 4–6 minutes during rush hour (7am–10am and 4pm–7pm) and every 10–15 minutes at other times. Late evening services may be less frequent, so it's worth checking departure times in the CaminoCabs app before travelling.

What are the Dublin tram operating hours?

Trams generally operate from around 5:30am to 12:30am, Monday to Friday. Weekend services start slightly later, around 6:30am. Last tram times vary by stop and line — check the CaminoCabs app for exact departure times from your stop.

How much does the tram cost in Dublin?

Fares depend on how many zones you travel through, ranging from around €2.00 for one zone to €2.60 for the full line. Using a Leap Card gives you up to 31% discount compared to buying a single ticket at the machine.

Can I see tram departure times in the CaminoCabs app?

Yes. Open the CaminoCabs app, go to the tram section, and select any stop on the Green or Red line to see upcoming departure times in both directions.

What if I miss the last tram?

If the last tram has gone, you can use the CaminoCabs app to find the nearest taxi rank or book a taxi directly. You can also check if any night buses are still running on your route.

Do the Green and Red lines connect?

Yes. You can transfer between the Green and Red lines in the city centre. From Abbey Street (Red Line), it's a 1–2 minute walk to either O'Connell GPO or Marlborough (Green Line). The transfer is free with a Leap Card within 90 minutes.
