Schedule of Fees (Intermediation Fees)
Last updated: 26 March 2026
This document details the fees charged by CaminoCabs to Drivers in consideration for the Intermediation Services provided through the Platform, and how your earnings are calculated and paid. CaminoCabs offers two billing modes — Commission Mode and Subscription Mode — between which the Driver may choose on a monthly basis. CaminoCabs acts as an intermediary facilitating Transportation Services between Passengers and Drivers. The fare revenue belongs to the Driver, and CaminoCabs deducts its Intermediation Fee (if applicable) before remitting the balance.
1. Billing Modes Overview
1.1 Two Billing Modes
CaminoCabs offers Drivers two billing modes:
| Feature | Commission Mode | Subscription Mode |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | A percentage of each trip fare is deducted as an Intermediation Fee | A fixed monthly fee is paid in advance; 0% Intermediation Fee on all trips during the covered month |
| Monthly fixed cost | None | See Section 3.1 |
| Intermediation Fee per trip | See Section 2.1 | 0% |
1.2 Default Mode
Upon registering as a Driver on CaminoCabs, you are automatically placed in Commission Mode. This is the default billing mode for all Drivers.
1.3 Choosing Your Billing Mode
You may switch from Commission Mode to Subscription Mode by purchasing a subscription through the App during the Selection Window (see Section 3.3). If you do not purchase or renew a subscription, you remain in (or revert to) Commission Mode automatically.
2. Commission Mode
2.1 Intermediation Fee Rates
| Driver Type | Intermediation Fee Rate |
|---|---|
| Standard Driver | 10% of meter fare |
| Partner Driver | 5% of meter fare |
2.2 Minimum Intermediation Fee
The minimum Intermediation Fee per trip is €0.30.
2.3 What the Intermediation Fee is Charged On
| Fare Component | Intermediation Fee? | You Receive |
|---|---|---|
| Meter Fare | Yes | 90% (Standard) or 95% (Partner) |
| Tips | No | 100% |
| Tolls | No | 100% |
| Cancellation Fees (€5) | No | 100% |
| No-Show Penalties (€5) | No | 100% |
2.4 Card Payments (Through the App)
When a Passenger pays by card, CaminoCabs invoices the Passenger and collects payment of the fare in the name and on behalf of the Driver:
- CaminoCabs processes the payment through Stripe
- The Intermediation Fee is automatically deducted
- Your net earnings are transferred to your Stripe Connect account
- Payouts are processed daily to your bank account (see Section 9)
2.5 Cash Payments
When a Passenger pays in cash:
- You receive the full fare directly from the Passenger
- The Intermediation Fee is recorded as a pending balance
- This amount is automatically offset against your future card payment earnings
How it works: Your pending balance from cash trips is gradually cleared as you complete card-paid trips. If your pending balance exceeds your current card earnings, the remaining amount simply carries forward to the next payout cycle — no action is required from you.
2.6 Commission Mode — Earnings Examples
Example 1: Card Payment Trip (Standard Driver — Commission Mode)
Trip Details:
- Meter Fare: €20.00
- Tolls: €2.00
- Tip: €3.00
Calculation:
- Intermediation Fee: €20.00 × 10% = €2.00
- Total Deduction: €2.00
Your Earnings:
- Meter Fare: €20.00 - €2.00 = €18.00
- Tolls: €2.00 (100%)
- Tip: €3.00 (100%)
- Total: €23.00
Example 2: Cash Payment Trip (Standard Driver — Commission Mode)
Trip Details:
- Meter Fare: €20.00
- Tolls: €2.00
- Tip: €3.00
What Happens:
- You receive: €25.00 in cash from Passenger
- Pending balance: €2.00 (Intermediation Fee)
- This €2.00 is offset against your next card payment earnings
Example 3: Partner Driver Trip (Commission Mode)
Trip Details:
- Meter Fare: €20.00
Calculation:
- Intermediation Fee: €20.00 × 5% = €1.00
- Total Deduction: €1.00
Your Earnings: €20.00 - €1.00 = €19.00
2.7 Intermediation Fee-Free Benefits (Commission Mode Only)
Drivers in Commission Mode can earn Intermediation Fee-free benefits through:
- Rewards Programme: Win challenges to earn Intermediation Fee-free periods
- CaminoPoints Shop: Purchase Intermediation Fee-free periods with your points
- Referral Programme: Receive Intermediation Fee-free benefits when a referred Driver completes their first trip
When you have an active Intermediation Fee-exempt benefit, trips you accept are Intermediation Fee-free. The exemption is locked at the moment you accept the trip — even if your benefit expires during the trip, that trip remains Intermediation Fee-free.
Some benefits may only apply during certain hours (e.g., 18:00–23:00). Outside these hours, the standard Intermediation Fee applies.
Note: Intermediation Fee-free benefits are only available to Drivers in Commission Mode. Drivers in Subscription Mode already benefit from 0% Intermediation Fee and therefore cannot purchase, activate, or participate in challenges for Intermediation Fee-free benefits. See Section 4 for details.
3. Subscription Mode
Subscription Mode allows you to pay a fixed monthly fee in advance and enjoy 0% Intermediation Fee on all trips completed during the covered month. You keep 100% of the meter fare on every trip.
3.1 Subscription Prices
| Driver Type | Monthly Price |
|---|---|
| Standard Driver | €200.00/month |
| Partner Driver | €140.00/month |
3.2 What the Subscription Covers
- The subscription covers one full calendar month (from the 1st to the last day of the month)
- During the covered month, you pay 0% Intermediation Fee on all trips
- You keep 100% of the meter fare, 100% of tips, 100% of tolls, and 100% of cancellation/no-show fees
3.3 Selection Window and Renewal
- During the last 7 days of each month (the "Selection Window"), you may purchase a subscription for the following month through the App
- If you are already subscribed, you may renew your subscription during the same Selection Window
- The subscription is activated on the first day of the following month. If purchased during the Selection Window, you continue in your current billing mode until the new month begins
- Purchasing a subscription during the Selection Window does not grant 0% Intermediation Fee for the current month — only for the month covered by the subscription
- Payment is processed by card through Stripe at the time of purchase
- Each subscription payment generates an automatic receipt with a unique reference number
3.4 Expiration and Non-Renewal
- If you do not renew your subscription before the end of the month, it expires automatically at 00:05 on the first day of the following month
- Upon expiration, you revert to Commission Mode with the Intermediation Fee rate corresponding to your Driver status (Standard or Partner)
- If a trip was accepted before the expiration (e.g., at 23:50 on the last day of the month), the Subscription Mode is respected for that trip regardless of when the trip ends
3.5 Subscription Mode — Earnings Example
Example 4: Card Payment Trip (Standard Driver — Subscription Mode)
Trip Details:
- Meter Fare: €20.00
- Tolls: €2.00
- Tip: €3.00
Calculation:
- Intermediation Fee: €20.00 × 0% = €0.00
- Total Deduction: €0.00
Your Earnings:
- Meter Fare: €20.00 (100%)
- Tolls: €2.00 (100%)
- Tip: €3.00 (100%)
- Total: €25.00
3.6 Important Considerations
The subscription fee is a fixed monthly charge payable in advance regardless of the number of trips you complete during the covered month. Please note that trip volume and earnings may vary depending on demand, time of year, and your availability. CaminoCabs recommends evaluating your expected trip volume before purchasing a subscription to ensure it is the most cost-effective option for you.
Subscription fees are non-refundable once the covered month has begun.
3.7 Refund Policy
- Before the covered month begins: If you purchase a subscription during the Selection Window and wish to cancel before the first day of the covered month, you may request a full refund by contacting info@caminocabs.ie
- After the covered month has begun: Subscription fees are non-refundable. No partial refunds are issued for unused days, low trip volume, or any other reason

Please note that the activation deadline still applies — if the benefit expires before you return to Commission Mode, it is forfeited.

9. Payouts
9.1 Payout Schedule
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Payout Frequency | Daily |
| Payout Time | Approximately 6:00 AM (Europe/Dublin timezone) |
| Minimum Payout | €0.50 |
| Settlement Period (Established Accounts) | Approximately 3 business days |
| Settlement Period (New Accounts) | Approximately 7 business days |
9.2 Payout Cycle Explained
CaminoCabs processes payouts daily. Each day at approximately 6:00 AM, the system checks your Stripe Connect account for settled funds:
- You complete trips and earnings accumulate in your Stripe Connect account
- Stripe settles the funds — approximately 3 business days for established accounts, or approximately 7 business days for new accounts
- Daily payout check: Once funds have settled and your balance is at least €0.50, a payout is initiated to your bank account
- Bank transfer: SEPA transfers typically take 1–2 business days to arrive in your bank account
Example (Established Account): You earn €30 on Monday → Funds settle by Thursday → Payout initiated Friday at 6:00 AM → Money in your bank Friday/Monday
Example (New Account): You earn €30 on Monday → Funds settle by the following Monday → Payout initiated Tuesday at 6:00 AM → Money in your bank Tuesday/Wednesday
9.3 Below Minimum Balance
If your settled balance is below €0.50, it will accumulate until the minimum is reached. No payout is made until you have at least €0.50 in settled funds.
9.4 Pending Balance (Commission Mode)
If you have a pending balance from cash trips that exceeds your current card earnings, the payout is paused until your next card earnings cover the difference. This happens automatically — no action is required on your part.
10. Tips
Tips are 100% yours. CaminoCabs does not take any Intermediation Fee or fees on tips, regardless of your billing mode.
10.1 How Tips are Paid
- Immediate Transfer: If your Stripe Connect account is active, tips are transferred immediately (within minutes)
- Daily Payout: If immediate transfer isn't possible, tips are included in your next daily payout
11. Cancellation and No-Show Fees
Cancellation and no-show fees only apply to card-paid bookings. If a Passenger selected cash payment, no cancellation fee is charged.
11.1 When You Receive Cancellation Fees
You receive €5.00 when a Passenger with card payment:
- Cancels after you've waited 5+ minutes at the pickup location
- Doesn't show up at the pickup location (no-show)
- Cancels an activated Prebook
11.2 Fee Breakdown
Total cancellation fee charged to the Passenger: €5.50
- Driver receives: €5.00 (100%, no Intermediation Fee — in both Commission and Subscription Mode)
- CaminoCabs receives: €0.50 (technology fee)
12. Changes to Fees
